14. Oktober, eine ringförmige Sonnenfinsternis ist morgens bei uns mit 80% Abdeckung zu sehen. Der Mond ist weiter von der Erde entfernt und verdeckt die Sonne nicht komplett. Es bleibt ein Ring oder Feuerkranz sichtbar.

Alle Bilder sind mit einem Neutraldichtefilter (7 Blendenstufen, ND128) aufgenommen (Nikon Z30, 18-140mm VR) und ausgeschnitten, aber nicht nachbearbeitet. Leider sind die ersten beiden Bilder noch mit ISO800.

Maximale Verdunklung der Sonne (80%).

ISO auf min Wert, bessere Belichtung für die aktuelle Helligkeit. ND-Filter müsste noch stärker sein.

ND-Filter zurück auf 3 Blendenstufen, aber der Sonnenkranz überstrahlt sofort das ganze Bild.

12 Minuten später, die maximale Verdunklung ist vorbei, ☉ und ☾ driften wieder auseinander.

43 Minuten später, die ringförmige Sonnenfinsternis geht jetzt zu Ende.

While at Kualoa Ranch taking a 360°×180° panorama, I also made a 1x2 panorama at a picturesque point. But both pictures were taken with different exposures using the auto setting. The left side picture is 1/500s f/8 and the right side picture is 1/400s f/7.1

1/500s f/8 to 1/400s f/7.1 is 2/3 of a stop ( ln( (7.1/8)^2 * (400/500) ) / ln(2) ), resulting in uneven exposures. See this excellent exposure calculator.

The exposure alignment of the panorama stitching might not always be successful and can result in an exposure seam as in this example:

To avoid this, the pictures need to have matching exposures. In this case, the left side picture is made 2/3 stops brighter than the right side:

The panotools projections are very versatile to achieve different mappings.

I wanted to take a photo of a tall object but could not step back for a normal view angle. In this case to capture the restaurant with its palm trees from the pathway.

Both full frame fisheye pictures for a good vertical and horizontal coverage to start with:

Each of the projection has a different mapping. The Transversal projections (rotated 90°) are not used here because of the horizontal distortion:
